our values
OUR VISION: We are living out the promise of hope and healing for all creation: to see all people renewed by love, thriving in dignity, and finding belonging in the way of Jesus.
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH:
-
We confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, recognize the Bible as the inspiration for our faith and our practice, and affirm that the Holy Spirit calls all believers into ministries of compassion, justice, and reconciliation.
-
We affirm the historic and living faith of the Church as expressed through the Disciples of Christ, United Church of Christ, and United Methodist Church traditions.
-
We honor the autonomy of each partner congregation while seeking visible unity through shared worship, service, and witness.
-
We celebrate an open table, inclusive of all people, and welcome diverse expressions of belief and identity as gifts within the body of Christ. We are open to and affirming of all people regardless of gender, race, age, culture, cultural/ethnic/faith background, sexual identity/orientation/expression, socioeconomic circumstance, or difference in ability as we embody God’s vision of peace and justice.

our story
Our partnership consists of three legacy churches: St. Paul's Community (United Church of Christ), Franklin Circle (Disciples of Christ) and Harbor and Bridge (United Methodist), each with roots that go back well over 100 years in this neighborhood. In the spirit of unity, shared purpose, and faithful witness we've come together to establish the Mosaic Faith Community. We are rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit, we covenant to embody Christ's love in word and action as a vibrant, inclusive, and justice-centered community of faith.
Our mission is to follow Jesus Christ through radical inclusion, spiritual growth, compassionate service, and focused presence - creating a sacred community that nurtures faith, fosters justice, and brings healing to the world.
Each church within the partnership contributes something unique that makes the whole of Mosaic Faith even stronger: St. Paul's shares a passion for service and pursues justice for all; Franklin Circle leads powerful worship and casts a vision of radical inclusion for LGBT individuals; and Harbor and Bridge models integrated community living that enlivens meaning for individuals. Our hope is that, through our partnership as one congregation, these three collective contributions might be a valuable gift to our neighborhood.
